"Dr. Linda Bergmann was a Professor in the Rhetoric and Composition Program at Purdue, where she directed the Purdue Writing Lab and its world-famous OWL. Her works include "Academic Research and Writing: Inquiry and Argument in College" (2009) and Composition and/or Literature: The End(s) of Education (edited with Edith M. Baker). Lind was also part of a team that received a $1.5 Million dollar Gates foundation grant for online writing instruction. Her research interests included WPA, WACD, Writing Centers, and online writing instruction. Linda's legacy lives on through her students, many of whom now direct writing programs, teach, and engage in research."
